Långå Fiskevårds area's association needs to continue the Långåljusnan project on the route upstream of the lake resort to the coal stove where the fishing area extends. Against this background, the association has applied for Bygdedmed from Lossenfonden for 2021. The stretch is severely affected by raft cleaning and hydropower extraction.
The goal is to, like other restored parts, Långåljusnan, create functioning biotopes for natural reproduction of existing ones, native fish species, insects and other aquatic organisms and, by extension, offer attractive sport fishing. From biological, ecological and environment-related aspects, the possibilities are very interesting and the result is given high credibility. Behind that assessment are the experiences and achieved results of the Långåljusnan project. In addition, fishing tourism in Sweden is assumed to increase significantly as a result of the Corona pandemic, with more 'home masters' in the areas that can offer attractive experiences. This includes Långåfisket and other fishing in Härjedalen.
