Långå FVOF headed by a board consisting of seven members with associated functions for accounting and auditing. The division of duties within the Board is determined annually. For service and control are 18 certified persons in supervisory activities. Voluntary unpaid work accounts for the vast majority of business. A fifth -up person participates each year in the work with different efforts.

The basis for the Fisheries Association and Långåfisket is the perception of fishing as a protected natural resource. That setting has been in force – Documented – for more than 300 year! The most important steering documents are the strategy of conservation, care and use of original fish species, The fishing care plan, which is based on natural reproduction of fish species and biotope care for aquatic organisms in healthy waters with clear regulations for fishermen. The steering documents also include the annual business plan for management, care and investments as well as policies for environment, Data securities (GDPR), economy and finances as well as identity, Information and marketing.

The sale of fishing licenses is made through agents and via iFiske.se the fee is decided annually by the autumn meeting.

Maintenance, Repairs and new investments are managed by volunteers, often unpaid, forces or procured as a contract. The remuneration is then in line with the construction agreement for Jämtland County.

Långå FVOF is a partner in the Grundsjö project together with Fortum Sverige AB, County Administrative Board of Jämtland, Härjedalen municipality and Särvsjön's village community. The project aims to preserve the unique primary Sjörödingen through reduction fishing after intrusive whitefish as well as supportive rejuvenation measures. SIK that is captured in the Grundsjö project is taken care of and divested for refinement. The largest users are Härjedalen serving Grundsjösik in school canteens and the elderly. Entrepreneurs are performed by Långå FVOF with, among other things, reduction fishing and rejuvenation measures

Constructive collaboration takes place with Fortum Sverige AB, County Administrative Board of Jämtland, Härjedalen, Dream Fishing Jämtland / Härjedalen, Adjacent fishery associations including the Messling Fisheries Association and Särvsjön's village community, Anglers and public bodies such as Hav- and Water Authority, Agriculture and SLU.
