Långåfisket get new trout water

Sea resort in the western part of long FVO gets new trout water. County Administrative Board of Jämtland has granted an application from long FVOF of getting to do releases of Grundsjöröding in resort. This means that Långåfisket will have another char water to offer anglers. Ground sea trawling takes place
at the end of September/October and is a historic event that gives Långåfisket another attraction for anglers, not least the winter. After all, the char is the most popular fish, together with perch, for anglers.
The pike is the major threat to char in Orten, but since the trout has done well there, there should be conditions for the char to do as well, according to the assessment made by the board of Långå FVOF.
The chars that are released now weigh on average 250 grams and comes from Långåfisket's own breeding box at Sonfjällsbygden's Fish Farm in Hedeviken.
Trout fishing in Orten is included in the regular fishing license. The measure will be continuously followed up and evaluated for Långåfisket's current fishing management plan 2017 – 2027.
