How do you join Långåfisket....I go there every year and fish!
Sven-Åke outside Karlskrona sent us that question. It was not the first time we received such a question and we are equally happy every time! And it's always just as nice and meaningful to answer it!
Långåfisket is not only a collective name for the Långå Fish Conservation Association but also a community for everyone who is interested in fishing and nature experiences, especially in the encounter with the wild, the original fish species and natural environments in Långå. We answered:
With all your years of fishing for the noble fish in Långå, you and your companions are part of Långåfishing! Among countless others, you prove that Långåfisket is worth visiting and revisiting. We have many who are here as the third generation in the family, or in the family. Many have fished here, summer as spring winter from the beginning of his life as a fisherman, some from before school age and still, despite passed 80 year!
For many, it is the fishing trip of the year to Långå’ not just a tradition but an experience that goes along with what you call and need for your quality of life. It becomes a way of life; part of the way of life! It is a way of being a part of and in nature!
And as I said, not just the fishing but the whole experience of nature with its immense content and changes of life, impressions and views. Right now at its absolute peak!
One of the most fascinating experiences now occurs when 'The Rock', Åsandsländan (Danish ephemera) and Sjösandsländan (Popular ephemera) hatches and swarms.

After years as a larva in its tunnel system on the bottom, it rises to the surface, takes off the wetsuit, pumps up its wings and takes off to participate in the dance in the nearest leaf hall in wedding attire, experience the moment of love, whereupon the female flies out over the water and scatters the fertilized eggs, drop by drop, on the water table.
Within an hour or so, the meaning of her life is complete, a new generation is launched as a family link according to millions of years of inherited behavior, she spreads her wings on the surface of the water and dies.
The fish restores her to the circuit.
Right there, amidst the rich splendor of friendly greenery, we find ourselves and we are not alone. We are part of and in the same creation.
