Grundsjöprojektet, which is run to preserve the famous ground sea trout
on site in Grundsjön in Långå, has been carried out with excellent results. 3 your

– We have been fishing whitefish with deep nets for just over two weeks and it has produced very good results, says project manager Allan Blomkvist in Lånå. We changed our method last year and switched from large Russian to deep net and it has produced the effect we wanted, he says.

Fisheries consultant Per-Arne Holt Seeland is hired as an expert in the project and is very satisfied with this year's results. He is one of the foremost in the field and is hired both in Sweden and his native Norway for similar projects. In addition to the fishing itself, he devotes himself to taking samples and this year it is noted that the "K-factor", for the trout in Grundsjön, that is, the ratio between height and weight, has increased sharply. It is seen as yet another important profit of the project's operations. Among other notes, strong growth of perch with weights around is reported 1,5 kilograms or more.
