Time to try new trout water

Now it is high time to try Långåfiskets new trout water, lake resort (Ulft), which is located in the western part fish conservation adjacent road 84.
Last fall, put Långå Fiskevårdsförening out about 1400 Ground sea trout in the lake and thus Långåfisket is expected to have another attractive char water with the well-known and tasty ground sea trout.
The purpose of the stocking is part of Långå FVOF's fisheries management plan, which includes measures to preserve the genetic protection of Grundsjörðing. A big project is underway, the so-called Grundsjö project, with Fortum Generation, Härjedalen, Långå FVOF and the County Administrative Board in Jämtland County as project owners. The measures in Lake Grundsjön are mainly about reducing fishing for whitefish that have penetrated the reservoir as well as cultivation and support planting of Lake trout, which is an exclusive asset for Långåfisket.
Lake Orten is undeveloped in the sense that no dam has ever been built there, on the other hand, the water supply from Ljusnan is very small because that water is led in a tunnel from the Lossenmagasinet to the Långå power plant.
The bottom consists largely of gravel and stone, including very large boulders. There are spawning grounds that should benefit Grundsjörödingen and thus some hope for natural reproduction in the long term. The biggest threat to the char is the pike found in Orten, but since the trout has done well, there are certain conditions that the char should also be able to do so.

Don't forget to report catches to info@langafisket.se It is very valuable to receive information about re-catch, preferably where the char was caught and of course with the date, weight and condition of the fish.
