Last March, the Långå Fisheries Association held its annual meeting and before that, the Board has held its annual meeting and can report a stable result for 2019.

A gentle recovery in the number of anglers is noted in comparison with the sharp decline 2018 when the devastatingly dry summer prevented fishermen from normal fishing. The sale of fishing licenses under 2019 amounted to 345 000 kroner, which means an increase of 6 %. The number of fishing opportunities is estimated at approx 14 000.

The movement, including major project investments, brought in closer sales 1,4 million kroner, which is roughly the same as for 2018. The largest investment during 2019 applied to the Långåljusnan project 1,1 million, of which the county board contributed 800 000 and 170 000 are rural funds via Härjedalen municipality. From its own funds, Långå FVOF invested a quarter of a million kroner on investments in fishing promotion measures.
