Härjedalen Municipality recommends to the County Administrative Board that Långå Fiskevårdsförening be granted district funding for its applications. The County Administrative Board will normally follow the municipality's recommendation. The construction funds come from the power industry.
Grundsjöprojektet For covering the fishing association's costs in the Grundsjö project, requests are granted 65 000 SEK. The budget for the Grundsjö project includes, in addition to reduction fishing and supported stocking of Grundsjöröding, the continued work of producing a chart for the magazine. The sea map is important for determining whitefish spawning grounds where reduction fishing can be concentrated. In addition, it is valuable for increasing the angler's opportunities to determine the fishing spot with regard to the varying water level.
The partner in the Grundsjö project is Fortum Sverige AB, Härjedalen, Långå fisheries conservation association, The County Administrative Board in Jämtland County and Särvsjön Community Association.
Långåljusnan For inventory, analysis and proposals for measures to restore the stream sections upstream of Byggeshån, at Medskogbygget, to the fisheries management area's westernmost border in Kolbenshån just downstream of Lossendammen, the association has budgeted 65 000 kroner for the summer 2021. This is financed 50 000 kroner with the now subsidized construction funds and 15 000 kroner from own funds.
The assignment goes to Per-Ola Persson and Elias Hammarlund, both in Långå. It must be completed during the summer so that the board can make a decision in September. The experiences from the completed restoration of the Långåljusnan project contribute to the state of knowledge. Consultation with affected landowners as well as the county board and Härjedalen municipality is part of the inventory work.
The aim is to primarily eliminate the consequences of waterway cleaning and minimize the effects of power regulation's impact on fish and aquatic organisms, including measures that mitigate climate effects. Within a few years there should be opportunities for good sport fishing along the stretch.
At Långåfisket's board meeting in September, the project's expected results will be decided, measures required to achieve it and full funding before the project can start.
