"How is the fishing right now" is a question many people ask us and probably all anglers ask themselves that question before upcoming fishing trips. These are legitimate considerations because the chance of catching a fish is one of two main focuses for every angler. The second is about expected experiences during the fishing trip; the beauty of nature, drama and experiences, the relaxation in solitude, with family or friends, the weather, the knob and gu'vetvad.
When we are asked what the fishing is like right now, we usually use current experiences plus reports that come in from those who fish. It is not an exhaustive basis and of course very subjective.
The only guarantee we can make is that it's only a matter of time before you catch a fish here. It always applies. And here there are fish! While we understand that those who do not manage to catch any say that 'there is no fish'. On the same day, from the same water and the same time we can get a report of six graylings caught, each at just over half a kilo, respectively 'no fish'. There is the fisherman's knowledge, experience and ability played a decisive role. This is one of the reasons why we recommend hiring a fishing guide for a couple of hours to increase your skills. It's money well spent.
