The 'Great Meter Day' coincides with a holiday with long and many traditions. This very day is the first day of summer, regardless of how far it has come. In the Middle Ages, there are said to have been rituals at this time when the fishing gear was charged with the energy they should have to create success - that is, to provide food! Elevation means height or 'lift'. It is used as a symbolic act in the Eucharist where the bread and wine are raised at the beginning. Jesus' ascension is a 'lift'.
