Welcome to a new fishing year with many memorable experiences in a fishing conservation area that has been cared for for more than three hundred years. Our orientation focuses on three key words: preserve, nurture and use. What we preserve are original species of the four nobles: trout, char, grayling and whitefish. Of course, perches and pike are included in that perspective, as are all other aquatic organisms. This means that we have wild fish in our waters and will have them through the care we provide with voluntary forces. This means that we can use the natural resource worth protecting that is within the Långå fisheries management area. Fish are numbers 1 and the fisherman number 2 in our prioritization for the simple reason that if there are fish, there are also fishermen.

The Grundsjö project is the largest annual investment where half a million kroner is used for measures to secure the future of the unique Grundsjörödingen, at least until the next ice age.
Fortum Sverige AB is the main sponsor for two thirds of the investment. The rest is financed by the County Administrative Board, Härjedalen, Långå fishing area association and Särvsjön village community. Great attention is paid to various measures to favor the char's continued existence.

The long-term restorations of Långåljusnan's stream stretches are beginning to bear fruit. Special attention to the regrowth of the local strain of Lusnanöring.

Långåfisket's website is a useful source of information, guidance, control, advice and tips. It helps to plan and make the fishing trip successful, which gives more hours for fishing than otherwise.
