The sportfishing fair 15 – 17 March will be organized this year at the long-standing Elima in Jönköping, A important meeting place around themes that are important for people's interests for decades! Långåfisket will be present through Drömfiske Jämtland Härjedalen. We would love to be there with our knowledgeable and committed employees, but we spend that money on fisheries protection measures here at home. This is where you can catch a wild kingfish with the equipment and ideas you get at the Sportfiskemässan.
The fish is our number one priority. Everything else can come later, as far as we can and have time. As an angler, you are number two in the order. It may seem impolite, but where there are fish there are fishermen. We know you agree with us on the logical priority. We will not change. So we've been at it for more than 300 year and will continue.
In the waters of Långåfisket there are original species of the salmon fish trout, char, grayling and whitefish. Here they have existed and acquired their local character. The 'pedigree' spans several thousand years. Of course there are pike and perch. A strategy that applies here is that reproduction takes place naturally in all our waters. No cultivation! Except in one case – Stortjärn, which is the Långå residents' swimming pond, who have farmed rainbow trout. An exciting sport fish that was born and raised in captivity and farming, completely unaware that there was a nature.
The sportfishing fair is not just a tackle market. There you meet friends, find new ones and hang out. We could have told you more about this if we had met at Elmia. Now we couldn't afford it, but we still have an 'advice' for you.
