It is not misspelled in the title; it is about the natural world (Trademark for long FVOF) which is the result of the natural values that Långåfisket trying to recreate the hard lacerated stream fishing for fleet headed clearance and force deployments. The investment in Nedre Mittån is part of the Långåljusnan project and aims above all to restore as much as possible of biotopes and habitats for fish and aquatic organisms. As a bonus of that work, more fishing spots are created and the meaning is of course also that there will be better fishing.
The measures in Nedre Mittån have now been implemented. There are two important reasons for those efforts, number one is more natural gravel beds for the Light Eagle's natural reproduction, the second is to attract the trout to migrate upstream. Natural reproduction is one of the main motives in Långå FVOF's conservation strategy, nurture and be able to offer good sport fishing.
Thus, the work in the Långåljusnan project is brought together for this year. Thanks to financial support with 800 000 kroner from the county administrative board in Jämtland county and funds from Hav- and the Water Authority, the project has been able to be carried out according to plan this year as well. The County Administrative Board has also promised to put up another half a million for work, among other things, in the tributaries during the next year.
