Långå fishery conservation area association held its annual meeting, for the second time in digital form. More than twenty people attended the meeting. The Board was granted discharge from liability for the past financial year. More anglers visited Långåfisket last year and the fishing season returned to its normal extent after the dry year 2018. Sales increased by just over 20 %.
Investment activities continued during 2020 with restoring and renovating stream sections in Långåljusnan, where the main part of the five-year investment achieved set goals. This summer, analysis of the remaining section west of the Medskogsbygget will continue up to Kolbenshån just downstream of the Lossendammen. The survey must show what can be done to restore that stretch for biodiversity and sport fishing.
In Långåljusnan, investment has also been made in measures for infrastructure that lead, paths, rest areas, fishing huts, toilet letter, information and disability adaptation. The project is partially financed with own funds and otherwise via local funds and grants from the Swedish Agency for Agriculture and the EU:s rural program.
The groundwater project which is shared by Fortum Sverige AB, Härjedalen, The County Administrative Board and Särvsjön's village community have had continued success in reducing whitefish fishing, but problems with the cultivation of Grundsjörðing during the hot summer. During the past year, work began on producing a chart for the Grundsjömagasinet and measures for natural reproduction of char in the lake in the form of a Pond in the Pond.
Helge Jonsson was re-elected chairman for one year. Other board members are Allan Blomkvist, vice president re-elected, Elias Hammarlund, newly appointed as secretary, Per Ola Persson, re-elected as quality manager and River Keeper, Kevin Dahlberg, new election, Victor Olsson, new member after previously being a deputy, and Jens Andersson, who has one year left in his mandate. Ove Bergman was re-elected as deputy and Anton Sundin was newly elected.
Elin Erikson was re-elected as auditors with the re-election of Camilla Bringsaas-Ohlsén and Martin Ljungberg as deputy auditor. Bertil Andersson at Hede Administrative Service continues to be tasked with managing the association's bookkeeping, economy, accounting and fishing license.
The annual meeting decided that the review of Långåfisket's card prices will be submitted for decision at the autumn meeting at the end of October.
The annual meeting decided to approve the proposal for the current year's business plan and budget with a turnover of approx 900 000 kroner, of which half are investments in special projects.
The chairman ended the meeting by thanking the outgoing board members and everyone 52 participating persons where the value of voluntary unpaid work amounts to nearly half a million if the association were to pay for the work.
