The annual meeting decided on important investments

Långå fishery conservation area association held its annual meeting 2018 with 24 participant, which is fewer than normal. Several other activities were competing in an otherwise BUSTLING Easter week. The Board re-elected and was approved for the management of fish conservation association's activities during 2017. Försäljningen minskade med drygt tio procent, vilket framför allt förklaras av sommarvädret i fjol. Sammanlagt såldes fiskekort för 445 000 crowns against 510 000 kronor året innan.

This means the start of the Långå-Ljusnan project, which aims to correct the interventions that were made for the floating and in connection with power expansions so that there will be more playgrounds and stands, better current conditions and oxygenation and several restored fishing grounds. Natural reproduction of local fish strains through biotope measures will be carried out and, in this context, new investments will be made in the cultivation of fry for assisted release at the level of what the waters allow. Of course, investments in the Ground Lake project continue together with Fortum AB, the county board and Härjedalen municipality.

And lastly, but not least, the investment in fishing culture continues with several new measures. Among them, a number of measures are integrated into the Långå-Ljusnan project with descriptions, stories and historical data. Långåfisket's cultural investment is starting to gain impact and attention. Among them are reported several historically interesting finds that have fallen completely into oblivion, but which will now be highlighted to provide more content and greater experiences for those who fish or others who visit the Långå area.

The annual meeting ended with Helge Jonsson telling about the jubilee Hedeflugan, which fills 100 year by year. Oscar Fick and his daughter Alma Nordlund created the first Swedish fly series.
