Långåljusnan and the natural world ™

Långåljusnan flows through long Fiskevårdsområde in Härjedalen, about 2 mil of Ljusnan western portion defined between two power plant dams. The route is heavily influenced by fleet headed clearance and power generation. We summarize the measures with the promise that

"We recreate NATURAL WORLD in Långåljusnan. "

project Långåljusnan refers to, as far as possible and reasonable, restore power stretches of Långåljusnan for sustainable interaction between organisms, nature and living in habitats that also resists climate impact and form the conditions for good fishing! Here, the various forms of life can coexist to mutual benefit by

– Biodiversity nutrition, growth and natural reproduction of fish species and aquatic organisms

– sustainable conditions for survival despite the climate impact

– a long-term, sustainable, attractive sport created with greater experiences for all interested.

Put simply made Långåljusnans flowing stretches 'extended' by bends and loops are reset, oxygen content increases by strömbildare, migration routes created by the converter, läplatser arranged to aquatic organisms and fish foraging, rest and play and water volume increases by deep holes that ensure the water supply in a stricter climate with unnatural heat and drought. We are also considering to reintroduce the freshwater pearl mussel. Långåljusnan restore important natural values.

Långåljusnan is the main artery in the conservation area where people lived in at least four thousand years. Therefore, we are focusing on raising the experience of the fishing trip by showing and inform about the history of leg, nature- and cultural relics. The initiative is part of Långåfiskets culture.

Budget calculation ends in about 2, 6 million, of which one million reprocessed to date. The project will be completed in 2020 including 'nursery' in connecting tributaries.

Funding so far has been done by Långåfisket (Långå FVOF), support from the provincial government in Ostersund, sea- and water authority, Härjedalen and Anglers, and built their fellow, voluntary contributions and unpaid voluntary work.

The project is actively supported by the county of Jämtland, which also directly involved with expertise.

A management plan developed specifically for Långåljusnan after restoration. It includes measures for the monitoring and evaluation of measures and initiatives that promote conservation, care and use of fish management plan for long FVOF. Restored distances expected to be closed to fishing, completely or partly, first summer after measures. That's because fish and other aquatic organisms will have a reasonable time to recover and reclaim areas that will be their future living space.
